  • په پردي لاس مار وژل هم ښه نه دي

  • تو کلې لاړې بيرته خولې له نه راځي


It is no use crying over spelt milk


  • چې پيښې نو د غواؤ ځائ ورك شي


Lesser things make room for greater ones


  • يو د لوږې مري ، بل ئي سر  ته پراټې لټوي 


What help can any penurious person render the needy.

  • مۀ کوه په چا چرې او به شي په تا 


Those who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.


  • اول ځان دې پسې جهان د


Charity Begins at home.



  • سختې پسې راته وي


Adversity is followed by prosperity.


  • پړق د يو لاسه نۀ خيژي 


It takes two to make a quarrel.

  • مار خوړلې د پړي نۀ ھم يريږي


A burnt child dreads the fire. OR

  • د صبر ميوه خوږه وي


Patience hath a reward 



  • نۀ سل دارو نۀ يو پر ھيز


Prevention is better than cure.



  • چې مار ھم مړ شي، کونټئ ھم ماته نۀ شي


Achieve the object without sustaining any loss.



  • وروړي خوري به کوؤ خو حساب کتاب تر مينځه 

Munificence apart , account must be clear.



  • دريم کس د خلل وي يا دريم کس خللي وي

Intruders are always unwelcome.



  • چې ډير ئي مال وي بد ئي حال وي

The more the wealth, the greater the worry.



  • چې کوم سپې ډير غاپي ھغه چيچل نه کوي 

Barking dogs seldom bite.




  • ډوله واھم د کوم ځاې، غږيږې کوم ځاې

I talk of the chalk and you of the cheese. 


  • بل ته کوھې مۀ کنه خپله به پکښې پر يوځې

He who digs a well for others, often falls himself into it.



  • حاجت مند په خټه اور لګوي
